It has been two years since our last physical Service
Recognition Awards (SRA) ceremony and the organizing
committee brought it back with a bang in 2022 – with a
single combined ceremony for all 10- to 45-year
recipients! The inaugural event was a big step taken
towards normalcy, and one that the committee hopes to
continue with as we enter the new normal of working.
Come share the fun and activities that were put together
specially for our deserving colleagues.
Ice-cream is always a good idea! Our recipients and
guests got to enjoy traditional ice cream flavours while
mingling with one another.
On 29 September 2022, Orchard Hotel Singapore was buzzing
with excitement as colleagues gathered to celebrate their service
anniversary with HDB. Even as we get used to our mode of hybrid
working, nothing can beat the joy of in-person social interactions –
especially after a two-year long hiatus.
The other popular pre-event activity was the photo booth where
recipients could snap unlimited shots with their colleagues! With
customised props and backdrops, the photo booths were a hit
and definitely kept guests entertained.
It has been a while since some of us were able to get together and meet
our colleagues, so the joy was palpable – evident from the happy faces
seen throughout the foyer.
This was also the first time we’ve had not one, not two – but five presenters
for the ceremony. Chairman and SLT had the opportunity to individually
present the certificates to different groups of recipients and personally show
their appreciation.
Other than the pre-event activities, recipients were invited to
a seated reception serving high-tea items. Each segment
was interspersed with live performances. Of course, many of
you also took the chance to snap more shots with your
colleagues for the memory!
For a classical touch, recipients were first treated to a performance by
the Vetta Quartet with their renditions of familiar tunes. Classic vintage
vocalist Miss Lou then wrapped up the event nicely by serenading the
audience with her repertoire of jazz songs.
With SRA 2022 being the first large scale event after the pandemic, the team worked to retain the charm
of service recognition ceremonies, while also keeping the atmosphere of the event casual and
light-hearted. We hope that all recipients enjoyed the refreshed ceremony format and we look forward to
celebrating more SRAs with all of you!
